11 Best Rooftop Bars in Charlotte

Vue Sky Lounge Bar offers residents of The VUE Charlotte a high-rise setting for cocktails, wine, beer and food, with striking views over downtown Charlotte. The clean, comfortable seating and polished shared areas create a convenient place to unwind, meet friends or host a small gathering without leaving the building.

Fast, organised bar service and an elevated outlook are the main draws, while outdoor seating adds another way to enjoy the surroundings. Because access is tied to The VUE community, this is a residents-only amenity rather than a conventional public rooftop bar.

AC Lounge is the on-site lounge bar at AC Hotel Charlotte City Center, serving tapas, cocktails, beer, wine and spirits in a compact, modern setting. Its signature AC Gin Tonic and carefully presented small plates give the space a distinctive hotel-bar character, while attentive bartenders can tailor drinks beyond the printed menu.

The lounge is convenient for hotel guests and visitors seeking a quieter drink, solo stop or informal meal in Uptown. It should not be confused with Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo, the separate rooftop venue elsewhere in the building.

Cordial is a rooftop cocktail bar on the eighth floor of the AC Hotel in SouthPark, pairing open-air drinks with views across Charlotte. Its relaxed setting supports cocktails, beer, wine and food, while live music on selected occasions adds a lively layer without changing the venue’s easygoing character.

Clean surroundings, attentive bartending and helpful dish recommendations make it comfortable for an after-work drink, a casual date or a meal shared at the bar. Outdoor seating is central to the appeal, with takeaway also available for drinks and food.

Imperial is a Charlotte cocktail bar and rooftop nightlife venue focused on parties, hookah, bottle service, dancing and skyline views. The upstairs space is designed for a high-energy night out, with cocktails, spirits, wine and outdoor seating supporting both social drinking and larger celebrations.

Music-led evenings and VIP sections give the venue a club-oriented identity rather than a quiet cocktail-bar feel. It is best suited to groups looking for dancing, hookah and a more animated atmosphere, with seating arrangements that can vary as the night becomes busier.

On The Roxx presents a relaxed Charlotte cocktail-bar atmosphere with music, dancing, food and outdoor seating. The revived venue leans into approachable drinks, friendly energy and a welcoming environment, making it suitable for a casual night out rather than a formal cocktail occasion.

DJs, drink specials and a comfortable social layout give groups plenty to do, while the menu includes cocktails, beer, wine and spirits. Its easygoing mood works for friends meeting late, dancing or settling in for a few drinks without an overly polished setting.

Stoke Dock is a casual, trend-focused Charlotte bar serving cocktails, beer, wine, spirits and food. The concept is geared towards an informal drink or quick bite, with takeaway available alongside dine-in service and alcohol-free drinks also part of the offer.

Its straightforward bar format suits visitors looking for a low-commitment stop rather than a full evening built around extensive dining. The setting is contemporary and social, with enough flexibility for a brief visit, casual drinks or a simple meal at the bar.
